Move with Myri
My name is Myriam and I’m a German girl who works as a certified Yoga and Pilates teacher.
As a teacher I love to share my enthusiasm with my students so that they have a good time during and after class.
My style varies from Ashtanga Primary Series, Slow Flow, Vinyasa Flow to Yin Yoga. Pilates classes, Yoga classes for Surfers and Yogilates (a mix of Pilates and Yoga) will focus more on your core-strength and shoulder mobility. Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga for the beautiful mums and their babies will focus on developing strength and creating calmness. I like to assist and support my students whenever it is needed and welcome.
The classes are suitable for beginners and can also be demanding for intermediate students. I’m happy to teach bigger classes as well as giving private sessions. All students can benefit from a well guided class whilst simultaneously focusing on their personal journey.
It gives me so much joy and motivates me to share my passion for Yoga and Pilates with other people. To see your happy and (potentially exhausted!) faces after class reminds me why I started Yoga to begin with. Yoga and Pilates can bring you energy but also calmness and ease at the same time.
Hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to meet and share some thoughts about Yoga, Pilates or other forms of sporting activities.
Sports and movement have always been a big part of my life. My journey started at the age of 5 when I discovered Ballet dancing and Tennis.
My focus changed over the years and after a while Ballet and Tennis didn’t match with my life anymore.
Years later, during my studies in 2008 I discovered Pilates as THE solution for my lower back problems. I fell in love with different types of movements and sports that made my body and mind feel good!
When I’m not on my mat you can find me running, surfing, doing HIIT workouts, hiking or maybe boxing.
As some of you may know, I haven’t always been working as a Yoga and Pilates teacher. After graduating my Textile Technology & Management studies, I worked with different companies in their fashion and accessories branches. My most recent job in the Netherlands lead me to a Sports-Nutrition company, where I worked as a Content Manager for the German Market. I enjoyed the different stepping stones of my career and valued the lessons learnt. However, my addiction to Sports and Movement never stopped.
10 years later, in 2018, I made my hobby my profession and started working as a fulltime Yoga and Pilates teacher. I quit my office job and started traveling.
Teaching and practicing Yoga and Pilates at different places all over the world is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. Getting to know people from different countries and backgrounds, learning new languages and becoming more open minded and experienced as a person and teacher with every step I take.
